Your child might need help from a physical therapist if you notice signs of a gross motor delay.
If you are a New York State resident you can schedule and attend Physical Therapy without a Medical Doctor’s Prescription for 1 month or 10 visits, whichever comes first. If you are interested in this, please call our office. If you will be seen for >10 visits or 1 month, please obtain a script and bring it with you.
(Several major insurance carriers in our area still cover services with this option.
You just submit the superbill and get reimbursed.)

Sessions typically last 1 or 2 hours per day.
Intensives are not one size fits all! The duration is collaboratively decided upon by the therapist and family based on the child’s needs.
My general recommendation is to schedule a minimum of 6 weeks between intensives. This gives your child time to practice their new skills and for you to work on your home program.
A super bill is provided with ICD-10 codes and CPT codes and can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. They will reimburse you directly.
